Frown Lines Correction

“Glabella” is the skin on your forehead, between your eyebrows and above your nose. When you make facial expressions, that skin is moved by the muscles on your forehead.

You may notice wrinkles that look like wavy lines beginning to develop, depending on your face shape, skin tightness, genetics, and how often you make certain expressions, These wrinkles are called glabellar lines, or more commonly, frown lines.

The lines in this region are either dynamic (are caused only when you move the muscles) or static (they are there even if you do not move the muscles). The stronger and more contracted the muscles on this area are, the deeper and more static the lines are and the treatment is more challenging.

Treatment Options

A neuromodulator (Botox) is a type of procedure that relaxes muscles in the area and smoothen the lines. If the lines are too deep and neuromodulators tend not to create a good result, the dermal fillers are also an alternative treatment to “fill up” the lines. This area is considered a risky area for dermal filler injections since there are many blood vessels in this region which might potentially get blocked by dermal fillers.

Also other skin treatments such as PRP or skin products help this region rejuvenate.
